We are running a mod in the CSRA and was wondering your thoughts on wether or not a tomar clutch can compete with the CVT setups? Also with this class having to stick with 120cc ( bore and stoke can't change) what would be a good Hp number to have? Thanks

Tomars were very good clutches, the bad news is their no longer in business altho I think someone else is buying them. Right now its hard to find parts that may or may not change.
On the belt drive question, the advantage is the changing gear ratio which a engine clutch just can't do. Its like having a transmission or the 10 speeds on a bike. The bigest advantage will be when you leave the line, the belt drive will have a much lower gear ratio and acellerate faster. On ovals it pulls harder coming out of a corner, in Snow X it pulls better up the hills and the corners. How competative you will be without one depends on how good and fast the other people are. If your doing ok without one you might have more engine or a better set up or driver working for you. If all things are equil, the belt set up will be faster
