Down the line what other engines can you fit onto the mounting plate of the Arctic Cat 120? Bob, I have seen your Animal engine with the torque converter but I am thinking more in the 5.5 to 6.5hp Briggs or Honda engine.
For this year I am more than satisfied with the performance of this engine. As he gets use to it and pulling one and two plastic sleds behind him I am thinking more torque is needed.

Is the sled completely stock Jim? I am sure Regan will tell you what will fit but I know that a lot of people install 200cc Hondas. Depending on the age of your grandson you can easily get a more power out of the stock motor that may satisfy for the time being

Bob, the engine has been modified but with what and how much I have no idea. I was told he doubled the speed. I have no way of telling since it was a used snowmobile and the only thing I have to compare it against was the Kitty Cat and it is faster but the comparison isn't fair.
When the snow melts the engine is coming out and I am sending it up to Regan to go over and make adjustment and modifications. At that time I will go through it from front to back and check everything out.
He is having a great time on it and it sure was worth the investment. Knowing exactly what has been done to the engine would be nice to know.

Jim, I would guess the Gov. is either tied off or removed, look for a tie strap or piece of wire in the linkage. if its there the gov is probably still inside. It shouldn't be. We start, I think next weekend if the weather holds at the Golf Farm, will be there about half of the races, easy for us to look it over if you come to one of them
