Bingo, (yes folks, that really is his name) Starting right after Christmas were at Winter Thunder Challange in Wacunda Il. most weekends, they race every week until mid march
For our Kart friends stopping in, The first two weekends in Jan is the largest sled races in the world at the Eagle River Derby track Most of you know this is owned by Chuck Decker who along with brothers Allen and Steve, have been racing karts with us for several years. The first weekend is for Vintage sleds which is huge, the following weekend host both the National Oval and Snow X racers. Each weekend brings about 30,000 spectators. Our 120 racers in both types race there as well. We also hope to get Wendy's drag sled out up in Hayward at the NSSR speed runs. Top speed so far is 186 MPH, thats in 1000 ft of shaved ice from a standing start. Wendy so far has stayed around the 130 MPH range, Seems to be that old " Hoursepower costs money thing"
