Hey,
So I picked up a 2008 120 for my boys, it had been sitting for 8 years. Wasn't stored properly, completely varnished. Complete rebuild of Carb, new fuel line, fuel filter. Engine only runs on full choke, even after warm. Question is, does anyone have any idea on where to "start" on the jets? I have seen a few thread with start air screw from seated posistion and back out 1-1 1/4 turns. Also any idea on what else might be the issue? I am stumped. Runs like a top with choke on, but anything after half choke and it dies...
Thanks!

Sounds to me like still dirt in the carb, these carbs have VERY small passages in them, it doesn't take much to plug them up. Try spraying carb clean through every passage If it was varnished that bad I would guess it got inside everything. Best bet would be to find someone around you with a sonic cleaner, thats what we use here. With the needle set in that range, it should be close enough to get you running, it controls the transistion from the low speed to the high

Thanks for the heads up Bob. Going to try the ultra-sonic route. On a side note, are there any aftermarket carbs that fit this sled? Just in case? Don't plan on racing, just want the kiddos to enjoy the sport. Get them going. Apparently AC has them back ordered until FEB? UGH! The stock carb is a mikuni BV18-13, I can't find the specs anywhere on this carb...THANKS!!!
